Love Your Skin// Winter Skin Favorites

If your in the state of Oklahoma, you have most likely felt like your skin is SUPER dry this season. I hear you and I feel you. This dry, cold, windy season has been wrecking dry, cracking havoc on almost every client and customer I meet. If you are already in a state where you deal with dry, cold climate this post will definitely interest you too!

These are my favorite products for dry winter skin, and a lot of these products will also treat breakout prone skin.

Lips

Eminence Organics Lip Trio is the perfect natural solution to hydrated, smooth, and plump lips. A gentle Citrus Enzyme Lip Exfoliator helps reduce dryness and fine lines around the lips. Follow this with the Lip Comfort Plumping Masque for supurb hydration. I love to leave this one on overnight. You can finish with the Citrus Lip Balm which is a petroleum-free citrus treat for the lips with shea butter, sunflower seed oil and natural peptides to boost collagen for ultimate plumpness and hydration.

Eyes

The newest eye cream from Eminence has been so helpful this winter. Marine Flower Peptide Eye Cream is an ultra rich eye cream that can be used every day and night. It provides long-lasting hydration and visibly improves the appearance of wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles.  It also works well under make-up

Mists

Stone Crop Hydrating Mist is a great balancing toner for all skin types including sensitive. Stone crop is super hydrating, great for evening out the skin tone, and creating a more clear complexion. I also love to use the Neroli Age Corrective Hydrating Mist. This collagen boosting mist is good for all skin types as well and is great for plumping, smooothing, and tightening the skin, These are great to use on the go, to refresh your skin during travel or throughout the day. Using a toner in your skin care routine will also help your other products work better! Check out my other post, Guide to Toners for more in depth about the importance of toners/mists.

Masques

These masques have been my skins bff. My skin has not only been dry but I have also been breaking out. I love to use this gentle exfoliating mask that has a hydrating honey along with a natural salicylic acid which is great for my pores and breakouts. It is the Rosehip and Maize Exfoliating Masque and it is perfect for sensitive skin. If you want to amp it up and add some detox, mix in the Lime Stimulating Masque. Next, are a couple super hydrating treatment masques that both have a botanical hyaluronic acid that holds up to 1000x it's weight in water. In turn, it holds more moisture to your skin for ultimate hydration for dry and combination skin types.  Go for the Strawberry Rhubarb Masque for more combination skin and pore regulation. For aging and drier skin, get the Firm Skin Acia Masque

Serums and Oils

Adding in a serum or facial can seriously boost hydration levels and radiance in the skin. Serums like the Strawberry Rhubarb Hyaluronic Serum or the Stone Crop Serum are great for an oil free hydration. Fast absorbing and lightweight will keep even oily skin nice and hydrated without any shine or congestion. Also for more hormonal breakout prone skin, the Eight Greens Youth Serum is hydrating and full of phytoestrogens and antioxidants to combat any dryness, breakouts, and aging.

Facial oils are actually good for all skin types, from dry and senstive to oily and breakout prone. They help to control oil production, balance the skin, and infuse your skin with healthy nutrient rich hydration.  Facial Recovery Oil is a multi-use, non-greasy, fast absorbing healing oil for all skin types. Healing and nourishing, without being heavy. Rosehip Triple C+E Firming Oil is a great anti-aging Vitamin C hydration oil that even sensitive and acne prone skin can use. This oil adds extra protection from sun damage and free radicals while helping to plump and firm the skin.

Using just about any combination of these treatments, you can achieve ultimate hydration and long lasting moisture in your skin to keep it healthy and glowing all winter long.
